This was a second project we did in Zbrush class along with the Grogu/Baby Yoda design in the previous post. We had to create an alien (from head to chest/half torso), first of all we had to prepare between 15-20 thumbnails and choose one of them. In my case, I got inspiration from sea animals (most of them not common animals like the blue sea dragon for example) to create all the thumbnails and the chosen one is based on an axolotl. Then we had to do a painted render/sketch to know the proportions and how to model it. Once it was all modelled, I colored it on Zbrush and the with Photoshop and Procreate, after setting the Zbrush Render passes, I tried to give it an atmosphere, I wanted to simulate like the alien was in a cave full of water and that it's caught on camera/lantern all of the sudden, so I gave it a strong light on the arm that it would be closer to the "camera". I'll also post the turntable video so the modelling can be seen well and some color effects that are lost or almost not visible in the final image due to the painting process.
Hope you like it!
